Reliance Industrial Group visits the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
2026
Recently, a delegation from the executive team of Qingdao Reliance Industrial Group visited the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Process Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Shandong Energy Research Institute), to hold a special symposium focused on green carbon new materials in the rubber and plastics sector, thereby facilitating a precise match between the company’s industrial resources and cutting-edge scientific research technologies.
Part One: Visit the Research Exhibition Hall and Gain Insight into Cutting-Edge Research Initiatives
In the research institute’s exhibition hall, Dr. Li led everyone on a site visit and provided a detailed introduction focusing on the institute’s overall development plan and its positioning in core areas. The institute has been deeply engaged in diverse fields—including advanced energy storage, solar energy, hydrogen energy technologies, fossil fuels, advanced biotechnology, and energy application technologies—and has built a comprehensive research platform and achieved significant, impactful results in the areas of green, low-carbon new materials and new-energy environmental protection. Members of the group paused in front of the display boards to carefully observe and learn, highly praising the institute’s solid research capabilities and well-established R&D system.

At the meeting, Dr. Li engaged in a focused discussion and exchange with the participants, covering topics ranging from functional design of green carbon materials and biomass resource preparation processes to diverse application scenarios such as energy storage, catalysis, and environmental adsorption. He objectively analyzed the current industrial bottlenecks—including large-scale production and cost optimization—and provided insights that balanced theoretical depth with practical guidance for industrial implementation. The interactive session was lively and enthusiastic. Group Chairman Mr. Yuan, General Manager Mr. Ji, and relevant business leaders actively asked questions, drawing on their companies’ operational strategies and frontline market demands, focusing on key issues such as scaling up technology applications, aligning with policy support, and matching commercialization scenarios. Dr. Li carefully addressed each question one by one, effectively bridging the information gap between the research and industrial sectors. Following thorough deliberations, both sides reached a consensus: they will establish a regular communication mechanism going forward and steadily explore new models of deepened cooperation among industry, academia, and research institutions.
This visit and exchange have built a crucial bridge for the Group to connect with national-level scientific research resources and to strategically position itself in the green and low-carbon industry. Moving forward, Qingdao Ruishi Industrial Group will remain committed to green and innovative development, continuously deepening its collaborative partnership with the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Together, we will accelerate the transition of green carbon materials from laboratory R&D to large-scale, market-oriented implementation, driving the company’s high-quality, sustainable development through technological innovation.
